Our Community
Our Tenafly school communities also consist of various diverse organizations that help to support our schools, teachers, students and families. Get to know them!
For nearly 30 years, Tenafly Educational Foundation has been sponsoring teacher-initiated grants that enhance academic experience and creativity at Tenafly Public Schools for programs and equipment that the school budget is unable to cover. Annual district-wide fundraising events include: Tenafly 5K Run and Dog Walk; Harlem Wizards; Thank-a-Teacher Program, etc. |

TenaflyCAP is a Municipal Alliance, established in 1980. A voluntary committee was established, tasked with distribution of funds for initiatives that provide programs for educating the community regarding underage substance abuse prevention. In 2015 TenaflyCAP was restructured in an effort to broaden community involvement. TenaflyCAP collaborates directly with the six public school principals; introducing positive daily affirmations to each school, creating public service announcements, and establishing awareness programs that can be presented each year to appropriate grades. TenaflyCAP works to achieve this purpose by finding ways to inspire children to exercise personal courage, make smart healthy choices, and raise awareness to current social issues. Our goal is to eliminate stigma and provide support and education regarding underage drinking, drug abuse, social media, bulling and other related topics. Check out the Daily Affirmations on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/tenaflycap

Our group is a welcoming place for parents to turn to when they are navigating the uncharted territory of Special Education.

Our topics vary and included: Special Education Programs, Social and Emotional Wellness, Social Media Dangers, Bullying, Anxiety, Staff Team Building Programs, etc.
Our monthly meetings are currently held virtually and in-person, concurrently, the first Wednesday of each month at 9am.
